Sunset camel ride in Merzouga

The sunset camel trek begins around 5:30 PM. You will ride a camel for approximately half an hour to reach the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival, you leave the camels and travel on foot about 80 meters to reach the highest dunes of Merzouga.

For those wanting a panoramic view, climbing to the top takes another 10 minutes. If you prefer not to hike up the highest dunes, the area around the camel parking area offers perfect sunset viewing as well.

After enjoying the sunset, you travel back to the village before dark. This trek includes a stop at the garden, where you will receive a short explanation about the canal system used in the desert.
