Your adventure begins as you depart Fes and head towards the Sahara. The journey takes you through the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you will stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forests of Azrou. After crossing the mountains, you will drive through the stunning Ziz Valley, with its palm groves and dramatic gorges, passing by the city of Erfoud. Finally, you will arrive in Merzouga, where you will check into a hotel at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes and rest for the night.

Day 2: Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Camel Trek – Desert Camp

Today is dedicated to exploring the desert region. In the morning, you will visit the village of Khamlia, home to black-skinned inhabitants known for their powerful Gnawa music; here you will enjoy mint tea and a private performance. After this, you will visit a desert lake before heading to Rissani, the historic heart of the Tafilalet oasis, where fortified villages (ksour) are surrounded by vast palm groves. In the afternoon, you will return to the hotel to prepare for the highlight of the trip: a sunset camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will spend the night in a traditional Berber tent, enjoying drumming music and the stillness of the desert.

Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Wake up early to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After a short walk in the sand and breakfast, you will leave Merzouga. The route takes you through Tinjdad and the Todgha Valley to the famous Todra Gorges, where you will have lunch and time to walk between the towering cliff faces.
