    15 Day Grand Tour from Casablanca to Merzouga

    Day 1: Arrival at Casablanca Mohammed V Airport

    Your 15-day private Moroccan adventure begins today upon your arrival in Casablanca. Your driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After checking in, you will visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, a landmark built in 1993 and one of the few mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors. If your flight arrives late, the mosque visit will take place the following morning. You will spend the night at a hotel.


    Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Tangier

    After breakfast, your journey starts with a drive through Rabat, the political capital of Morocco. During your stop, you will visit the Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower, and the Oudayas Kasbah. You then continue to Asilah, a town renowned for its annual art festival and painted murals. After lunch in Asilah, you proceed to Tangier, where you will spend the night.


    Day 3: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

    After breakfast, you head towards the blue city of Chefchaouen. Along the way, you make a quick stop in the white town of Tetouan. You then arrive in the picturesque blue city and check into your accommodation. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore Chefchaouen’s beautiful blue streets and enjoy its breathtaking views.


    Day 4: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

    Your 15-day tour continues with a visit to Volubilis, an ancient Roman-Berber settlement with well-preserved ruins. You will then stop in Meknes, another imperial city, to see the grand Bab Mansour gate. Afterwards, you head to Fes, where you will check into a traditional Riad within the Medina for the night.


    Day 5: Guided Tour of Fes

    Another day begins with an exploratory guided tour of the Fes Medina. You will explore the oldest medina in Morocco, filled with narrow streets, bustling markets, and skilled craftsmen. Your visit includes various landmarks such as the Islamic university, the Nejjarine Fountain, the Moulay Idriss II Mausoleum, the Karaouine Mosque, and the Chouara Tannery, which dates back to the 13th century. The tour ends with a visit to the North Tower for a spectacular panoramic view of the Medina. You will spend the night in a traditional Riad.


    Day 6: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

    In the morning, you head south towards the Merzouga Desert. Along the way, you make several stops. First is Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco. Next is the cedar forest, where you can see Barbary apes in their natural habitat. After lunch in Midelt, you continue through the scenic Ziz Valley. You arrive at the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga by late afternoon and check into a hotel with views of the Sahara.


    Day 7: Merzouga – Nomad Families – Khamlia Village – Desert Camp

    Around 10:00 AM, you begin a 4×4 tour around the dunes. You will visit mining areas, explore Khamlia village to hear traditional Gnawa music, and meet with a nomadic family to learn about their lifestyle. In the afternoon, you start a camel ride across the sand dunes towards the desert camp. Along the way, you stop to watch the beautiful sunset. After dinner at the camp, Berber music and drumming will accompany your evening under the stars.


    Day 8: Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinejdad – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

    Wake early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, you ride camels or take a jeep back to Merzouga village. Your journey continues towards the Dades Valley. Along the way, you stop at the Todra Valley and its dramatic gorges for photos. You will spend the night at a hotel in the Dades Valley.


    Day 9: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah

    Your journey takes you through the Rose Valley and the Skoura palm groves. You stop in Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco, to admire the Taourirt Kasbah and visit the Atlas film studios. Finally, you reach the village of Ait Ben Haddou, where you will explore the famous UNESCO-listed Kasbah. You will spend the night in this beautiful village by the river.


    Day 10: Ait Ben Haddou – Taliouine – Taroudant

    After breakfast, you begin your journey crossing the Anti-Atlas mountain range. The route passes through several Berber villages along the way. You stop in Taliouine, a town known for its saffron production. You arrive in Taroudant by late afternoon and stay overnight in this historic medina.


    Day 11: Taroudant – Agadir

    En route to Agadir, you make a stop at Crocodile Park for an interesting and educational visit to learn about local wildlife. You then continue to the coastal city of Agadir, where you will have lunch and check into a hotel by the ocean. After check-in, you have free time to explore the city. You will spend the night at the hotel.


    Day 12: Agadir – Taghazout – Essaouira

    A scenic coastal drive brings you to Essaouira, also known as Mogador. Along the way, you may make short stops in Taghazout and Imssouane to enjoy beautiful panoramic views. You arrive in Essaouira around noon, have lunch, and check into your hotel. The afternoon is free for you to admire the beauty of its Medina, beach, and historic port.


    Day 13: Essaouira – Marrakech

    Your 15-day tour continues with a drive to the red city of Marrakech. On the way, you stop at an Argan cooperative to learn about this Moroccan oil and its benefits. You arrive in Marrakech around noon and check into your Riad or hotel. You then have your first contact with the city by visiting its main square.


    Day 14: Guided Tour of Marrakech

    After breakfast, you explore the best of Marrakech with a local guide. The tour covers the Koutoubia Mosque, the Ben Youssef Koranic School, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Majorelle Gardens. The afternoon is free for you to explore the Medina independently. You will spend the night in a traditional riad or hotel.


    Day 15: Transfer to Casablanca Airport

    This is the final day of your tour. Your driver will transfer you to Casablanca Airport for your departure flight home, marking the end of your 15-day Moroccan adventure.

    What should we pack for this tour?

    Pack comfortable clothes, sturdy walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat for the daytime. Evenings and early mornings in the desert and mountains can be very cold, especially from October to April. Warm layers, a jacket, and a scarf are essential.
