On the third day of your tour, you travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains. You will stop in Ifrane, known as Little Switzerland of Morocco. Another stop follows in the cedar forest, where you can see wild Barbary apes in their natural habitat. After lunch at a local restaurant, you continue through the scenic Ziz Valley to reach the Merzouga desert dunes. Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes from your camp. After breakfast, you head towards the Todra Gorges to explore their stunning rock formations. The journey continues through the Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses before reaching Ouarzazate city, located in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. You will spend the night in Ouarzazate.
Leaving Ouarzazate, you head towards Marrakech. Your first stop is the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for many international movies including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Afterwards, you cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. You arrive in Marrakech by afternoon and check into a traditional Riad within the Medina for the night.
